Front Engraving Instructions and Ideas

Option 1. Straight Text Layout

The front of this dog tag necklace custom engraved with actual baby footprints, name, birth date, birth length and weight

  1. This layout is best for engraving multiple lines of text above and below the footprints.
  2. Click REQUEST ENGRAVING PROOF and email a photograph of your baby's footprints, and the birth details you want engraved above and below the prints.
  3. You will receive your proof for review within 24hrs.
  4. From the FRONT ENGRAVING drop-down, select UPLOAD ENGRAVING PROOF.
  5. Click the CHOOSE FILE button to upload your engraving proof image.

Option 2. Curved Text Layout

The front of this dog tag necklace can be custom engraved with actual baby footprints with text engraved in an arch above and below

  1. This layout is best for engraving a single line of text above and below the footprints.

Back Engraving Instructions and Ideas

Option 1. Text Engraving Only

Dog tag necklace text engraving is available in Roman, Block and Script font styles

  1. Text engraving on the back is optional, and costs an additional $10 per line.
  2. From the BACK ENGRAVING drop-down select the NUMBER OF LINES to be engraved (up to 12 characters per line).
  3. From the BACK ENGRAVING FONT STYLE drop-down select a font style.
  4. Type the text to be engraved in the LINE FIELDS that appear.

Option 2. Custom Engraving (Artwork + Text)

Select Custom Engraving for lengthy text, handwriting and artwork on the back of this dog tag necklace

  1. Custom engraving on the back is optional, and costs an additional $50.
  2. Select this option to engrave a lengthy block of text, a handwritten message, or text and artwork together.
  3. From the BACK ENGRAVING drop-down select CUSTOM ENGRAVING ARTWORK + TEXT.
  4. Click the CHOOSE FILE button to upload a photograph of your entire composition.
  5. We recommend that you email us your images, artwork and text with a description of your layout and we will create an ENGRAVING PROOF for you to upload.
